# Swiss FADP Article 72: Transitional provision relating to the Commissioner's election and termination of office

_Chapter 10_

2 If the incumbent is elected in the first vote of the United Federal Assembly to elect the Commissioner, the Commissioner’s new term of office begins on the day after the election.
